Gartner provides fact-based consulting services, helping clients use and manage IT to enhance business performance. The Associate Software Engineer will focus on operational excellence in HR Technology, managing Workday and other HR applications to ensure outstanding support for HR business teams.
Application ownership and continuous improvements for Workday and other HR applications, following an Operations Excellence model of application management.
Going beyond the application troubleshooting and bug fixing, this team aims to find solutions to provide long term stability and enhance productivity.
Create automation solutions to streamline manual support tasks.
Deploy monitoring across technology ecosystems for applications and integrations.
Assist in streamlining IT products, platforms, integrations, and components to drive KPI improvements.
Contribute to building runbooks for application outages, and support Disaster Recovery plans.
Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure smooth handoff and consistent process documentation.
Follow the 24x7 coverage model with the Operational Excellence team, and work within the standard SLAs with the HR team.
Support effective Workday design and delivery to reduce total cost of ownership.
Good Understanding of SAAS applications or modules such as payroll/Benefits/TA.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field
Strong problem-solving skills and proactive issue identification
Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
May also welcome new tech talent who seems curious and strong comms/technical skills
Preferred
Experience working in an IT Application Management organization
Foundational Workday experience
Understanding of IT integration standards and IT support best practices
Basic knowledge of ITIL framework tools such as ServiceNow and Jira
Familiarity with automation and monitoring tools like Selenium and PowerBI
