Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
0–2 years of relevant internship or co-op experience; or, 3–5 years of relevant experience in software development or application support
Foundational knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, or similar)
Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases
Exposure to scripting, automation, or API development through coursework or projects (e.g. PowerShell, shell scripting)
Familiarity with software development lifecycle concepts (Agile, DevOps)
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
As a condition of the role, the successful candidate must obtain a Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance through Sun Life
Preferred
Experience working with APIs, integrations, and enterprise systems is an asset
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, or modern DevOps practices is an asset
Exposure to financial systems or enterprise applications
Knowledge of cloud technologies or modern data platforms
Experience with automation frameworks or workflow tools
Familiarity with IT service management processes (incident, change, problem)
Experience working in an onsite–offshore delivery model
