Comcast is a Fortune 30 global media and technology company seeking students for their Drexel Co-op Program, which offers hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. As a Software Engineering Co-op, you will design and implement a Unified Embedded Logging System for FDX Amplifiers, contributing to the reliability and maintainability of critical embedded systems.
Contribute to the design and implementation of a modern C++ logging library for embedded systems
Develop and optimize code for performance, memory efficiency, and reliability
Assist in testing, debugging, and documenting the logging system
Participate in code reviews and team meetings to share progress and ideas
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University, with a cooperative learning track.
Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting March 30, 2026, through September 18, 2026.
Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs.
Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting.
Proficiency in modern C++ (C++11/14/17) and object-oriented programming.
Experience with embedded systems development.
Familiarity with multithreading and concurrency concepts.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Knowledge of memory management and performance optimization.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
