Responsibilities

  • Experience or exposure in developing and consuming REST APIs
  • An opportunity to work across full stack development utilizing one or more of the following languages: Python, Node.JS, React.js, C#/.Net, Java.
  • Gain experience with a broad set of AWS technologies like Serverless, API Gateway, S3, EC2, Aurora, Dynamo DB, Redshift, ETL technologies like Glue/or similar and/or other AWS technologies.
  • Experience or exposure with one or more database technologies including both Relational and No-SQL DBs such as Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, MSSQL/Aurora, Dynamo DB, Redshift, Neptune, Hadoop, MS SQL Server etc.
  • Ability to explore and utilize AL LLMs, MS GitHub Co-pilot, Google Agent Development Kit and others as made available.
  • Debugging skills with the ability to ask for help.
  • Consume libraries, tools, and APIs from other teams to achieve the desired functionality.
  • Familiarity with or get exposure of development process in the DevSecOps environment (including CI/CD tools such a Jenkins/Octopus/Concourse, source code management tools - e.g. GitHub, TFS
  • Conducts analysis to determine integration needs.
  • Researches, writes, and edits documentation and technical requirements, including software design evaluation plans, test results, and technical manuals.
  • Ability to “think outside the box” and propose new, and creative solutions or alternate approaches that may involve differences from current technologies, architectures, and infrastructures.
  • Gain familiarity with Secure Development practices, reviews, learn the ability to writes, and edits secure code.
  • Exposure to development experience using an agile methodology such as Kanban, Scrum, lean etc.
  • Good understanding of software engineering concepts and practices
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualification

Required

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University, with a cooperative learning track.
  • Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting March 30, 2026, through September 18, 2026.
  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs.
  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting.

Preferred

  • Software Development.
  • Familiarity with open-source framework including HTML5, JavaScript, Java, Web Services (SOAP, REST), Microservices, Spring etc.
  • Familiarity with AWS technologies is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to write code in any of these languages Python, Node.JS, React.js, C#/.Net, Java.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle and continuous integration, Test-driven development, and agile, scrum development methodologies.
  • Open to use variety of open-source technologies and cloud services as needed.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and tools is a plus.
  • Skills and experience with debugging, root cause analysis and performance optimization in Cloud, On-Premises or Hybrid platforms.
  • Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science.
