Responsibilities

  • Design and develop guided diagnostic procedures for heavy‑duty commercial vehicle electronic systems within an off‑board diagnostics platform
  • Create, document, and implement diagnostic algorithms, software components, and user interfaces
  • Develop software using a visual logic development environment following Agile methodologies
  • Provide engineering support during product launches at manufacturing facilities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality, reliability, and usability of diagnostic systems
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams—including manufacturing, service, product development, IT, suppliers, and validation—to ensure smooth deployment of effective, user‑focused diagnostic tools
  • Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams to meet international requirements and deliver localized content where necessary

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience with automotive electronic systems, including substantial hands‑on work with on‑ and off‑board diagnostics
  • Proficiency in object‑oriented software development; experience with one or more languages such as Python, Java, C++, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Ruby, or Swift is highly valued
  • Ability to excel in a fast‑paced, results‑driven team environment
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally up to 5%

Preferred

  • Familiarity with automotive or commercial vehicle communication networks such as CAN, SAE J1939, and LIN
  • Experience producing technical documentation, including simplified drawings and diagrams for production and service teams
