The Digital Solutions Engineer provides technical support for post-sales activities, including installation and maintenance of diagnostic products, while ensuring customer satisfaction and managing technical issues.
Responsible for managing the installation of IT product solutions at customer sites, both remotely and on-site
Determines customer needs and sets appropriate installation expectations, ensuring resources are aligned and available within the specified time-frame
Performs validation processes to evaluate the effectiveness of IT solutions
Ensures all customers are fully satisfied with their IT product installation
Serves as a technical resource for complex system issues, manages critical customer situations, and troubleshoots during installation and post go-live phases
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Medical Technology, Life Sciences AND 2 years of laboratory IT, general IT, product line experience
OR 4 years of laboratory IT, general IT, or product line experience
Comfortable coordinating the activities of others
Networking with internal and external senior personnel in your area of expertise
Networking with key contacts outside your area of expertise
Preferred
Candidate should be able to travel 25% or more to customer sites
Candidate should reside within 50 miles of a major metropolitan US airport
One year of project or process management experience, that demonstrates the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
Fluency with healthcare standards and technologies (HL7, ASTM, HIPAA, Networking, Microsoft Windows, Cache Intersystems)
In-depth knowledge of the clinical customer base and critical components of an LIS and laboratory IT processes and workflows
Demonstrate effective communication and troubleshooting with requirements for both technical and non-technical groups
Ability to evaluate complex processes and apply critical-thinking skills to complete assignments that are complex in nature
