Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. is a leading beverage company with a diverse portfolio of brands. They are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer I to join their engineering team, focusing on the development of embedded software for brewers, while collaborating with experienced engineers.
Design, develop, test, debug, and enhance embedded software for brewer systems, including implementing new features, modifying algorithms, and supporting firmware integration and system bring-up
Perform software verification, validation, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and documentation activities to ensure high-quality, reliable software solutions
Apply established software development processes, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust products
Leverage Python and other tools for basic automation, testing, and data collection while continuously learning new technologies, tools, and development methodologies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field
0–2 years of relevant experience (internships or co-op experience included)
Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded software
Proficiency in Python
Strong learning mindset and good communication skills
Preferred
Experience with FreeRTOS or embedded Linux, and low-level peripheral driver integration (I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO)
Experience with MCU platforms (e.g. STM32, NXP, ESP32, etc.)
Ability to use lab tools (e.g. oscilloscope, logic analyzer) for debugging
Experience with consumer electronics or appliance software development
Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
