They are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer II to develop cutting-edge embedded software solutions for their infusion portfolio, focusing on designing and developing high-performance applications that integrate with hardware components.
Design and develop embedded software applications that integrate seamlessly with hardware components and deliver high-precision system functionality
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, product managers, and stakeholders, to define system requirements and ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components
Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices, and implement testing strategies to validate software functionality and performance
Contribute to comprehensive documentation for software designs, processes, and testing procedures, and share knowledge with the team to ensure continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
2+ years of experience in embedded software development
1+ years of experience specifically writing high-reliability real-time embedded software in C/C++
Proficient in C++
Understanding of object-oriented programming principles
Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS)
Experience with embedded Linux
Excellent problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Additional programming languages, such as Python
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (e.g., Jenkins) tools
Knowledge of object-oriented design principles as they relate to embedded systems
Demonstrated experience in writing, debugging, and optimizing C/C++ code for embedded systems
Experience with automated testing using GTest
Experience in a regulated industry, ideally in medical device software with IEC 62304 experience
