Comcast is a Fortune 30 global media and technology company seeking an Engineer 1 for their software development team. The role involves assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of software applications, debugging software, and collaborating with Quality Assurance to ensure application reliability.
Assisting with the design, development, and maintenance of software applications using appropriate programming languages
Participating in code reviews, providing feedback for continuous development process improvement
Implementing testing protocols to identify bugs, enhance performance, and ensure application reliability
Participating in agile development practices, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to enhance team collaboration and project management
Staying informed on emerging technologies to suggest innovative solutions for software functionality
Writing and editing technical documentation to support software design and application requirements
Reviewing literature, patents, and current practices relevant to assigned projects to support the development of robust software functionality
Working with Quality Assurance to ensure applications meet technical specifications and user needs
Debugging software to enhance performance and user experience
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary

Bachelor's Degree
0-2 Years of relevant work experience

Previous intern program participant or prior experience as Comcast intern preferred
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience
