Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, maintain, and test embedded software using software engineering best practices and standards
  • Participate in the full life cycle of software development, to include requirements development, application development, modular testing, integration, formal system testing, release, installation, and upgrades
  • Apply technical expertise in solving complex integration problems
  • Frequent opportunities to interact with Program Management, external suppliers and/or government customers, therefore excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills are essential to succeeding in this role

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering from an accredited university with at least 2-years of systems or software engineering experience OR a master's degree in one of the above listed majors OR a PhD in one of the above listed majors
  • Will consider 4 additional years of related experience for candidates without a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineer, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
  • Proficient in C/C++ software development
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Experience with Qt Integrated Development Environment
  • Ability to efficiently operate in a fast-paced team in a customer-driven environment
  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Preferred

  • Experience with development in the VxWorks environment
  • Experience developing custom displays and user interfaces
  • Experience with embedded software development, integration and testing
  • Experience developing and deploying software on FPGA platforms with embedded ARM cores
  • Familiarity with containerization applications
  • Familiarity with emulation of embedded processor systems
  • Familiarity with Electronic Warfare (EW) and radar principles
  • Familiarity with software configuration management tools (JIRA, GitLab.)
  • Familiarity with integration of avionics interfaces (Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553B, ARINC-429, etc.)
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
