BAE Systems is a defense, aerospace, and security company developing products and services for national security. The Engineering Leadership Development Program participant will complete three one-year rotational assignments in embedded software and engineering functions, supported by technical and leadership training, mentorship, and a required technical master's degree program.
The ELDP consists of three, onsite one-year rotations; each with increasing responsibility. It is designed to provide diverse set of experiences within Engineering areas and disciplines. ELDP participants are also exposed to a variety of networking opportunities and strategic project initiatives

A mentor is assigned to each ELDP participant to expose them to diverse and challenging experiences, while providing guidance in career development and off-program placement
The program seeks to facilitate the growth of an individual's leadership skills through an annual, week-long leadership development conference (LDC)
Participants can also expect to complete a technical and leadership curriculum during the program which will provide a holistic career development experience through a mix of in-person and virtual trainings
The ELDP is a three-year rotational program designed to develop high potential, entry-level individuals into future leaders
You’ll have the opportunity to experience assignments in several operational functions, business areas, and product groups nationwide
Relocate during the rotational program at least once ensuring experience at a minimum of two of our facilities
Start at Sterling Heights, MI or Minneapolis, MN locations, with subsequent rotational possibilities including York, PA and Louisville, KY
Start your technical master’s degree during the program with completion two years from the end of the program
Depending on your rotations, some may be required to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Software/Computer Engineering
Demonstrated collaboration and leadership abilities in academic and non-academic pursuits
Internship/Co-Op or project experience in embedded software/systems
Relocate during the rotational program at least once ensuring experience at a minimum of two of our facilities
