Manulife is a leading international financial services provider, and they are seeking a Software Engineering Co-op to join their team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in developing applications and systems while contributing to the full software development lifecycle.
Contribute to a team of engineers focused on building scalable, reliable applications
Support application development, testing, and debugging efforts
Assist in feature development and system enhancements
Collaborate with engineering and business teams to build user-focused solutions
Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality standards
Support deployment, monitoring, and ongoing application maintenance
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, JavaScript)
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket)
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a collaborative environment
Preferred
Exposure to software frameworks, libraries, or development tools
Understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices
Familiarity with APIs, web services, or application architecture
