Responsibilities

  • Collaborate to design, develop, and enhance high quality software solutions that directly support Freddie Mac's core businesses
  • Work closely with project teams and stakeholders to understand user needs, shape system requirements, and create applications that deliver top tier performance, scalability, and efficiency
  • Build new features and evaluate defects, investigate the causes, and implement smart, timely fixes to keep production systems running smoothly
  • Ensure clear communication around incidents and optimize existing applications through well designed enhancements

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline; or equivalent experience preferred
  • At least 1-3 years of full-time experience in software development including design, coding, testing, and support
  • Programming Languages (Required): Java
  • Demonstrated analytical ability and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Organized, ability to meet deadlines, self-driven, motivated

Preferred

  • Query Language (Preferred): NoSQL (MongoDB), SQL (RDBMS)
  • Versioning Control (Preferred): Bitbucket, GIT
  • Tools (Preferred): Eclipse, IntelliJ, VSCode
  • Frameworks (Preferred): Spring, Spring Boot
  • Other (Preferred): Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, MongoDB
  • Methodologies (Preferred): DevOps, Agile Development
  • Knowledge of Agile software development project methodologies preferred
  • Experience with popular business tools (Windows, Office Professional, Visio, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Front-end languages (Optional): Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript
