Applied Materials is a semiconductor and display equipment company that offers materials engineering solutions. They are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer II to design and implement web applications and frameworks, as well as troubleshoot software issues and interface with customers.
Design and implementation of web applications and frameworks.
Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant Python applications
Build and maintain web applications/frameworks and Python applications.
Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
Stay up-to-date on the latest web and Python application development trends
Troubleshoots a variety of difficult software problems.
Performs software tests on code and enhancements.
Interfaces with external customers regarding software issues.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in web application and backend development required
Strong understanding of web development technologies and frameworks like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, and various front-end frameworks like React or Angular.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills
Preferred
Experience with React is a plus
Experience with Python is a plus
