They are seeking an Intermediate Software Engineer to support an Army Program focused on delivering advanced capabilities for operational decision-making. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and services in an agile environment.
Develop, test, and maintain software features of moderate complexity with limited supervision
Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and QA to refine requirements and deliver solutions
Participate in code reviews, contribute constructive feedback, and follow established coding standards
Troubleshoot and debug issues across development and test environments
Contribute to technical documentation, including design notes, API references, and user guides
Support integration, deployment, and CI/CD activities as part of the development lifecycle
Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability
Assist in improving development processes, tools, and team workflows
Begin taking ownership of small modules or components within the system architecture
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with less than 2 years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript)
Experience with version control systems such as Git
Understanding of software development methodologies, data structures, and algorithms
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, or distributed systems
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly
Preferred
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
Familiarity with front‑end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) or back‑end frameworks (.NET, Spring, Django)
Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for continuous learning
Experience working in an agile or DevOps‑oriented environment
