FreeWheel, a Comcast company, provides comprehensive ad platforms for publishers, advertisers, and media buyers. The Software Engineer 1 will develop and maintain a search engine and an API to enhance user satisfaction with search results in advertising-focused datasets.
Work closely with your mentor to deliver projects on time and to the highest standards of quality
Understand operational tasks
Implement software solutions according to FreeWheel engineering standards
Implement automated unit and integration tests to confirm correctness and prevent regressions
Participate in code reviews
Implement appropriate instrumentation and monitoring
Provide user-friendly documentation
Ensure delivered software solutions are always up and available
Implement bug fixes when necessary
Upgrade components, libraries, infrastructure, etc. as, necessary
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering required
Ability to write good quality code in Java
