SAIC provides scientific, engineering, and systems integration and technical services and solutions in the United States. They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Automated Tester to join their team supporting the Interoperability Engineering System (IES) in Huntsville, AL, focusing on verifying the functionality and performance of IES software.
Develop and execute automated test scripts using JavaScript to validate system functionality and performance.
Collaborate with developers and project stakeholders to identify testing needs and clarify requirements.
Document and track defects using a bug tracking system, ensuring clear communication of issues.
Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and scripts.
Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues found during testing.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Utilize Git for version control, managing test scripts and related documentation.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in software testing.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or six (6) years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
Must possess an active Secret security clearance or have the ability to obtain one; US Citizenship required.
Familiarity with automated testing tools; Squish
Basic knowledge of JavaScript for writing and modifying test scripts.
Understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred
Coursework or projects related to software testing or quality assurance.
Exposure to software development life cycles (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Experience with additional programming languages or testing frameworks is a plus.
Knowledge of Squish is a bonus.
