Oxford Industries is a company that owns brands evoking happiness, such as Tommy Bahama and Lilly Pulitzer. They are seeking a Junior Business Application Engineer responsible for supporting business applications across the enterprise, including ERP, SAP, WMS, and WME systems, while ensuring smooth application performance and resolving issues in collaboration with business users.
Provide application support for ERP, SAP, WMS, and other business systems. Work closely with business users to understand their business processes and investigate and resolve questions and issues. Escalate support issues to appropriate IT resources as needed, continuing to collaborate between IT and users through final resolution.
Analyze and resolve problems associated with existing systems by monitoring system-generated audits and logs. Detect, diagnose, escalate, and report all system related problems as necessary.
Maintain system control and parameter tables, user authorities and operational task/job schedule and schedule/monitor data purges as defined.
Code/script/map/build, test, debug, maintain, document, and implement solutions for supported systems for applications using established standards and procedures and recommends new or improved standards and procedures for adoption.
Integrations Development: Develop and assist with implementation of application integrations between ERP, WMS, SAP, and other business systems. Monitor and maintain integrations, addressing any issues or failures promptly to ensure continuity of business operations.
Assist with QA / testing of new features and recommend improvements.
Assess user reporting requirements and recommend appropriate report and/or reporting tool. Modify/customize reports to meet needs of users. Creates ad-hoc reports, extracting data from supported systems using available reporting tools.
Develop training materials and provide ongoing training to ensure users are maximizing the full potential of our systems.
Support end users when carrying out business critical tasks such as seasonal integration and inventory movements.
Shared responsibility for application operations, scheduling and after-hours support.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree in CS, MIS, business, accounting or related field or equivalent work experience
Generally, 1+ years business analyst and development experience in the ERP, WMS and related areas.
Experience with ERP systems, WMS systems, and/or financial systems.
SQL-based reporting skills, Power BI, and Sigma experience a plus.
Skilled in project management methodologies and processes.
Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and expertise relevant to all ERP & WMS functional areas. Keeps knowledge and expertise up to date, with proven ability to effectively transfer knowledge to others within IT and with all customers/functional areas.
Strong oral and written communication and facilitation skills, including presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences
Excellent analytical, technical, and critical thinking abilities with a focus on end-to-end customer impact
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and execute in high-pressure situations
Strong self-initiative and ability to produce high-quality results efficiently and effectively
