SAIC provides scientific, engineering, and systems integration and technical services and solutions in the United States. They are seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join their team working with the Joint Technology Center Systems Integration Lab, contributing to groundbreaking work with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. The role involves designing, coding, and testing simulation software while collaborating with the development team to meet project specifications.
Software engineer will design, code, and test simulation software with other members of the development team.
Work with product owners to define requirements, use case, and develop technical specifications.
Monitor quality assurance and required up-times of supported systems and their data sources.
Maintain versioning and implementation of third-party products used in the development process.
Participate in activities accordingly to ensure on time implementation deliverables are met including day-to-day planning and coordination with testers, other developers, product owners, project managers and business representatives.
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field and zero (0) years' experience; Additional four (4) years' experience can be accepted in lieu of degree.
Must have the ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance. Interim Secret is required to begin work;
US Citizenship required.
Experience coding in C#
Understanding of XAML
Experience with asynchronous programming methodologies
Proficiency in Unit testing
Understanding of Scrum/Agile development
Desktop application development on a distributed network
Object oriented design principles
MVVM user interface design principles
Preferred
Experience with Git based source code control systems
Experience with .NET Framework, .NET Core, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), or Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
Familiarity with Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code
