Qualcomm Innovation Center, Inc. is seeking a Product Software Engineer who possesses solid engineering fundamentals to assist in the design, development, and validation of software applications. The role involves analyzing user needs, designing small software features, and collaborating with project teams to ensure quality and timely project completion.
Designs and implements small software features for products and systems
Participates in the design, coding for small features, unit testing, minor debugging fixes, and integration efforts to ensure projects are completed on schedule
Assists in performing code reviews and regression tests as well as the triaging of issues to ensure the quality of code
Collaborates with others inside project team to accomplish project objectives
Writes technical documentation for Software projects
Participates at design reviews and project meetings
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field
Solid engineering fundamentals and understanding with some supervision in applying Software knowledge
Ability to assist and support the design, development, creation, modification, and validation of embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs
Ability to analyze user needs and software requirements
Experience in designing and implementing small software features for products and systems
Participation in design, coding for small features, unit testing, minor debugging fixes, and integration efforts
Assistance in performing code reviews and regression tests
Ability to triage issues to ensure the quality of code
Collaboration with others inside project team to accomplish project objectives
Ability to write technical documentation for Software projects
Participation at design reviews and project meetings
