Labcorp is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level QA Engineer to join their quality assurance team. The role involves ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through the design, development, and execution of manual and automated test scripts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to understand software requirements and design effective test cases.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard testing frameworks and tools.
Execute automated test suites to identify defects, track issues, and ensure overall software quality.
Participate in test planning and strategy discussions to contribute insights and ideas for improving testing processes.
Contribute to the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline by integrating automated tests into the build process.
Monitor automated test results, investigate failures, and work with the development team to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with the manual testing team to ensure comprehensive test coverage and alignment between manual and automated testing efforts.
Document test cases, test results, and other relevant information to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain a reliable testing process.
Stay up to date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and best practices to continuously improve the quality assurance process.
Qualification
Required
Four-year college degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline such as Science or Engineering.
Solid understanding of software testing principles, agile methodologies, and processes.
Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar languages.
Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools in the QA automation field.
A proactive and self-driven attitude, with a willingness to take initiative and seek solutions independently.
Experience with API testing (SOAP, RESTful services) using SoapUI, Postman or Rest-assured framework.
Experience with SQL databases.
Hands-on experience with Linux, Windows, and/or mobile devices.
Preferred
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, or TeamCity) is a plus.
Familiarity with Amazon web services such as Simple queue services (SQS), Dynamo DB, CloudWatch, Cloud formation template (CFT), S3 and OpenSearch is a plus.
Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Splunk, etc.
Current or prior Labcorp experience preferred.
