They are seeking a Radar Software Development Engineer to contribute to high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions aimed at protecting national security through software development and remote sensing applications.
Participate in software engineering teams on concurrent development projects, often with overlapping technical objectives for product design and performance.
Implement and test advanced signal and image processing algorithms in the context of open architecture software frameworks, developing compliant applications for use on state-of-the-art remote sensing systems and embedded within advanced sensors.
Employ DevOps practices and tools for efficient code development.
Qualification
Required
Academic degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science, with accompanying years of relevant experience as indicated: Bachelor's + 5 years, Master's + 2 years, earned Ph.D.
Demonstrated background, relevant experience, or technical interest in the development of remote sensing technologies (systems, software)
Demonstrable successful performance in the area of software development
Experience in executing software development in the context of modern methodologies and practices (Agile, DevOps)
Proficiency in formal code development in C++
Familiarity with other scientific/engineering development languages, such as MATLAB and/or Python
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance which typically requires U.S. citizenship
Preferred
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
Experience working with MATLAB engineering analysis code
Proficiency in Python programming language
Record of published research (cited as author or contributor) of relevance, in peer-reviewed journals and/or technical conference proceedings
