The Software Cloud Engineer I will contribute to developing, testing, deploying, and supporting secure, scalable cloud-based healthcare solutions, including APIs, data pipelines, and microservices for clinical data exchange. The role also involves collaborating across teams, monitoring applications, participating in code reviews, and supporting an on-call rotation.
Develop and maintain cloud-based services, application programming interfaces (APIs), data pipelines, and microservices that support clinical data access and exchange
Contribute to the design, implementation, testing, and debugging of software solutions using technologies such as C#, .NET, SQL, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Kubernetes, and Kafka
Support the delivery of Data Export and Data Access capabilities that enable secure and reliable integration across healthcare systems
Collaborate with software engineers, quality engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions
Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure software quality and reliability
Monitor and troubleshoot applications to support the accurate and timely delivery of clinical data
Learn and apply software engineering best practices, development tools, and technologies within a regulated product environment
Participate in an on-call support rotation following completion of onboarding and training
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a technical discipline and 0 to 2 years of relevant experience, including internships, co-ops, academic projects, or other hands-on software development experience
Foundational knowledge of .NET software development
Demonstrated interest in software engineering and ability to learn new technologies and development tools
Willingness to participate in an on-call support rotation after onboarding and training
Preferred
Exposure to cloud computing environments, preferably Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Experience working with Structured Query Language (SQL)
Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, Git, and artifact management tools such as JFrog
Exposure to Kubernetes or containerized application development
Exposure to Kafka or similar event streaming technologies
Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as ELK, Dynatrace, or Amazon CloudWatch
