CGI is an IT and business consulting services firm that offers consulting, cyber security, cloud, and IT services. They are seeking a talented and motivated Junior-Level Software Developer to work with a Department of Defense (DoD) client, where the role involves creating, maintaining, and improving software applications as part of a dynamic team.
Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of software applications using languages such as JavaScript/Typescipt, C#, Active Server Pages (ASP)/.net, SQL, CSS, JQuery, Angular, React, AJAX, and C++
Create technical prototypes and assist with creation of software documentation including requirements, design, and user manuals.
Collaborate with team members to find better, more efficient ways to manage applications throughout their lifecycle.
Develop enterprise software solutions for business problems by using the latest tools, such as ASP.NET, Java, and other open-source technologies.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to underpin objectives of producing high quality code
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using best practices and coding standards as guideposts
Troubleshoot and debug software application issues.
Contribute to documentation of software development processes, procedures, design specifications, user guides, and release notes
Qualification
Required
US Citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance is required
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (i.e.: Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a similar major with extensive computer-based or technical content)
1-2 years’ experience developing and maintaining software applications with JavaScript, C++, JQuery, AJAX, HTML, ASP.Net
1-2 years’ experience using software tools such as Visual Studio, Visual C++ v6.x, SQL Server, and JBuilder 5.x
A deep understanding of engineering concepts, including Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
Excellent problem solving, written and verbal communication skills
Flexibility, ability to deal with ambiguity, and a desire to learn
IAT II certification required (Security+, Cloud+)
Preferred
Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with Azure DevOps and Git
Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines
Experience with DevSecOps principles and DoD policies related to the topic
