ASML is a leading company in semiconductor technology, and they are seeking a Software Engineer to design and code software for distributed control systems. The role involves collaborating with AI engineers, participating in Agile development, and ensuring high-quality software delivery for complex systems.
Working in a team of highly skilled software and cross functional engineers responsible for delivering software solutions that enables the ever-increasing miniaturization of semiconductor technology
Using Agile methodology to develop the software using C++ and Python
Creating designs and Implement code that are modular, scalable, robust and meet customer requirements
Perform unit testing and on target testing to ensure the software meets the high-quality standards our customers expect
Evaluation of technical issues, risks, and dependencies for projects
Interfacing with stakeholders to gather a complete understanding of their requirements
Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of system architecture
You will also participate in continuous process improvement activities aimed at ensuring the processes and tools used throughout software development lifecycle are increasing the team’s ability to develop high quality software in the most efficient manner
Qualification
Required
Minimum of BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related Eng/Science fields
Minimum of 2 years in technical development role with strong software engineering skills
0-2+ years of working C++ experience and/or Python preferred
Experience with ML algorithms and architectures such as CNNs, RNNs, and GANs
Experience designing, developing and deploying LLM for various applications as well as integrating with existing LLMs via API
Experience developing CI/CD pipelines incorporating AI/LLM a plus
Participated and assisted in the delivery of at least one complex software product working within the context of a team
Hands on experience with refactoring for performance and scalability – complex multi-processor distributed control system is a plus
Strong C++/Python knowledge, Object Oriented Design principles and embedded development
Ability to handle aggressive deadlines with agility and results driven approach
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to translate, statistically analyze data, and effectively report problems through written and/or graphical formats
Excellent customer service skills, with an advanced understanding of customer relationship building
Ability to use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and electronic e-mail systems
Ability to quickly develop and understand complex control systems including embedded real-time, application layers, CORBA interface and it's associated hardware environment
Ability to independently determine technical solutions including test documentation
Technical expert of data management, TCP/IP and other similar communication protocols
Applies advanced knowledge of design methodologies
Demonstrates sophisticated knowledge in utilizing design engineering tools, systems analysis and design, and database management
Ability to follow a Software Development Process that includes elements of planning, estimation, gathering and analyzing requirements, developing concepts and designs, implementation, developing and executing test plans' and engaging in work product reviews
Ability to interact effectively with other team members as well as individuals in other disciplines and organizations
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
