The Software Engineer will collect requirements, develop software tools, and maintain software subsystems while collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance data acquisition and management processes.
Collect and documents requirements from a variety of stakeholders to develop software tools, ensuring the information is reflective of business and technical priorities.
Create new tools or enhance existing ones ensuring they meet the established requirements.
Develop proof-of-concept to verify the feasibility of Implementations and documents processes and code.
Responsible for the maintenance and integrity of one or more software subsystems.
Build relationships and interact with peers to ensure assigned tasks are prioritized. Partner with product management to analyze customer needs and propose solutions.
Take the lead on identifying and recommending new methodologies and improvements in data acquisition and management. Think outside the box and be willing to research and explore new avenues to by utilizing the latest technologies and standards.
Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners and convey design concepts, both verbally and in writing.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience

Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent professional experience.
Typically requires a minimum of 2 year of experience in software data acquisition, modeling, and reporting environment.
Direct experience with designing and implementing data collection and management processes using SQL, Python, or commensurate tools.
Tools including Databricks, Visual Studio, and related modeling applications.
Proven application of data structures and algorithms to efficiently acquire and model data.
Experience with Microsoft Excel formulas for data manipulation; Power Query, Visual Basic; Visual Basic for Applications.
Lean Six Sigma methodologies; Lean Six Sigma training and certification.
Direct experience collaborating with local and global business and technical teams to influence desirable outcomes.
