RTX is a company dedicated to helping the nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. They are hiring a Software Engineer I [Embedded / Radar] to work onsite in El Segundo, CA, focusing on developing embedded software for radar systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Work on technical problems and provide innovative solutions, with guidance as needed
Work at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration
Develop RT embedded SW, specifically pertaining to various radar modes and capabilities
Utilize investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions
Work with teams across multiple disciplines, internal and external
Join program and customer meetings/reviews
Support the team leads as needed regarding technical decision making, problem resolution
Help to ensure performance to technical, cost, schedule, quality
Support of system and software requirements and architecture generation and analysis as needed
Must be able to obtain "special access programs" (SAP/SAR) for continuation of employment

Qualification
Required
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience
Development experience coding in C/C++/ADA or related languages/tools
Experience working on UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks or other RTOS
Experience working in an agile/scrum team hyper-collaborative team environment using typical agile oriented tool suite
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Must be able to obtain 'special access programs' (SAP/SAR) for continuation of employment
Preferred
Introductory Experience with design, code, integration, and test of software into a large software baseline and large system
Current DoD Secret and Top Secret Clearance
Experience developing Radar Software applications
Direct experience with Agile methodologies
Analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot tool and system operation performance issues
Experience with large complex systems such as airborne radars
