Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, is looking to hire a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to support the Mission Systems Resilient Connectivity Products organization at their Aguadilla, Puerto Rico location. The role involves designing, developing, integrating, testing, and maintaining software solutions for communication systems products in a hybrid work environment.
Design, develop, and enhance software solutions for communication and cyber intelligence systems with guidance
Test software in an Agile development environment
Work directly with Senior software engineers, project engineers, and supporting organizations to ensure successful software project execution
Collaborate with internal stakeholders
Ensure compliance with Collins development processes and standard work requirements
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred
Educational knowledge and project application on software development using Linux and/or C++, including debugging, integration, and deployment on software platforms
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Knowledge in basic Linux shell scripting, Python or Perl
Working knowledge of programming languages such as C++ or C#
Software level debugging experience
Experience with Database technologies
Familiarity with Git, Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, and Coverity
