RTX develops aerospace and defense solutions that support national security and allied missions. The Software Engineer I will design, code, integrate, test, and verify real-time embedded software and firmware for missiles, launchers, radars, and naval fire control systems while collaborating with systems, hardware, and project engineering teams.
Assist in the derivation of software requirements, architecture design, implementation, and verification of real-time embedded software and application tools
Design, code, test, and integrate high-reliability software solutions utilizing C, C++, and object-oriented programming methodologies
Execute hardware-software integration, bench debugging, and testing on embedded targets and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments
Participate actively in internal peer code reviews, software component design reviews, and technical trade studies
Collaborate closely with systems engineers, hardware designers, and project managers to align requirements, constraints, and interface definitions
Follow established software engineering processes and configuration management practices to deliver robust, mission-critical work products
