Responsibilities

  • Support the EGSE Organization as a senior software engineer.
  • You will support modernization efforts geared toward achieving greater efficiency, security, automation and scalability
  • You will collaborate with an enthusiastic team of software, systems, electrical and test engineers using the Agile Development methodology.
  • Coordinate with the product line manager and directorates to support needs.

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Programming experience in one or more of the following: C/C++, LabView, Python, Java, TestStand
  • Experience developing software requirements, CONOPs, and software design
  • Experience or coursework with product life cycle (development, deployment, retirement)
  • While no clearance is needed to start this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required
  • 2+ years professional experience; 0+ years with Masters degree

Preferred

  • Experience in simulation software development, software testing and validation, and software configuration management
  • Issue Tracking and troubleshooting experience
  • Systems thinking mindset
  • Agile methodology experience
  • Experience with Jira or other Atlassian tool sets
  • Must be able to work autonomously and drive items to closure
  • Possess strong communication, social, and problem resolution skills
