As a Software Engineer, you will work on the development of sophisticated avionics for the FBM Mk7 program, supporting modernization efforts and collaborating with a team of engineers.
Support the EGSE Organization as a senior software engineer.
You will support modernization efforts geared toward achieving greater efficiency, security, automation and scalability
You will collaborate with an enthusiastic team of software, systems, electrical and test engineers using the Agile Development methodology.
Coordinate with the product line manager and directorates to support needs.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
Programming experience in one or more of the following: C/C++, LabView, Python, Java, TestStand
Experience developing software requirements, CONOPs, and software design
Experience or coursework with product life cycle (development, deployment, retirement)
While no clearance is needed to start this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required
2+ years professional experience; 0+ years with Masters degree
Preferred
Experience in simulation software development, software testing and validation, and software configuration management
Issue Tracking and troubleshooting experience
Systems thinking mindset
Agile methodology experience
Experience with Jira or other Atlassian tool sets
Must be able to work autonomously and drive items to closure
Possess strong communication, social, and problem resolution skills
