RTX is a leader in technologically advanced solutions for the aerospace and defense industry. They are seeking a Software Engineer II to design, architect, and develop software capabilities for command and control systems in a collaborative Agile environment.
Design, architect and code critical capabilities in an active Agile environment.
Develop innovative new features for a new real-time situational awareness Command & Control (C2) systems.
Work in a highly collaborate team environment to design, architect and innovate software solutions.
Travel to customer sites for demos, integration and support.
Qualification
Required
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Relevant work experience in software development using object oriented programming languages such as Java or C++.
Strong computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, information retrieval.
Relevant work experience with full life cycle development including exposure to software requirements, design, development, debug and test.
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
Engage & build positive relationships with both customers as well as internal & external employees.
Preferred
Direct hands on individual experience with GraphQL, REST, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Postgresql, Docker, Kubernetes, Angular, Typescript, HTML/CSS, among many other programming languages and related technologies.
Relevant work experience in software development using object oriented paradigms and multithreaded systems.
Experience with Container Orchestration implementation such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
