Northrop Grumman is a leader in technological advancements and is looking for a Software Engineer – Level 2 to support the Ground Weapons System program. The role involves developing software products that support the design and development of missile defense capabilities, requiring collaboration in a diverse team environment.
Support of the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the SPA SIM team
Developing SW products that directly support the design and development of the GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of relevant work experience; or a Masters Degree in STEM and 0-2 years of work experience
Demonstrated C++ development experience
Experience with Unit Test and System Test Development
Experience with C, GoLang, ADA, and/or Python
Ability to read other coding languages
Individual must possess good communication skills
Candidate must demonstrate ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions
Capable of working both independently and within a team environment
Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs
Preferred
Experience with simulation and simulation frameworks
Experience with Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket
Experience with Bamboo, Jenkins, Fortify, Coverity, SQL Databases
Knowledge of GMD
Experience with containers and container development
