Northrop Grumman is an aerospace, defense and security company that provides training and satellite ground network communications software. They are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems, collaborating with hardware engineers and ensuring software standards are met.
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
Ensures software standards are met.
Qualification
Required
Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance w/ CI poly at time of application
Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience; 0+ years with a Master's. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience with software architecture, design, and development.
Experience with Perl and Python scripting
Experience with C++ and Java
Experience with EVMS concepts and reporting.
Experience with Agile leadership (product owner and scrum master), planning, and scheduling.
Experience with Technical customer engagement and interaction.
Must be willing to be on call 1 week out of every 2 months
