Abbott is a healthcare company that is engaged in pharmaceuticals and manufacturing healthcare products. They are seeking a Software Test Engineer to maintain and execute automation scripts, perform software testing, and ensure high-quality software releases for their diabetes management products.
Maintain and execute automation scripts, utilizing Java or Python in conjunction with frameworks such as Robot Framework, Appium, and Selenium with WebDriver.
Complete software testing and activities in conjunction for user stories within the Agile SDLC process.
Review System Specifications/Requirements documents, user stories and create verification test cases (based on those requirements), and execute test cases.
Perform exploratory testing, system level end to end testing, develop test datasets and execute automation scripts to ensure application software releases are of high quality.
Investigate and report unexpected events, issues or software bugs.
Verify fixes.
Create verification and validation test plans, test reports, trace matrices and review with relevant stakeholders (dev and quality).
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a scientific, technical, or engineering discipline
2 years’ experience in Software Testing and/or Software Quality Assurance including coursework
strong technical skills in Java
experience testing mobile applications
excellent oral and written communication skills
moderate understanding of test-driven methodologies
experience automating mobile application tests
knowledge of CI/CD
design patterns
Python
Robot Framework
strong analytical and problem-solving skills
ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
Preferred
medical device experience
experience in an agile development environment
experience with embedded systems and integration testing with external systems
experience in cybersecurity
