Lesley University is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach User Experience 1. The role involves providing students with foundational knowledge in UX design and engaging them in practical, collaborative projects.
Teach IDENS 1500 User Experience 1 course in Spring Semester 2026.
Provide students with an overview of User Experience (UX), design methods, and the role of research in designing for user experience.
Engage students in an industry-modeled process, including research, team/collaboration, stakeholder interviews, sketching, diagramming, and presenting.
Guide students in producing design deliverables within the context of real world practice.
Qualification
Required
2+ years of demonstrated successful teaching experience in design (or related field) at the undergraduate level
3+ years of professional experience working in the design/advertising field
Portfolio examples of the candidate’s work and/or student work in a combined PDF that is no larger than 5mg is required
A letter of interest, CV/resume, and a statement addressing past and/or potential contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion through teaching, professional activity, and/or service must be included for full consideration.
Preferred
MFA or MDES in Graphic Design or related field
