The Associate UX Designer supports the planning and execution of user-centered digital experiences for web and media platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve usability, accessibility, and clarity.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop user flows, wireframes, and prototypes for web-based digital experiences
  • Improve usability and clarity across content-heavy pages and media platforms
  • Apply user-centered design principles to support clear and effective communication of biblical teaching
  • Collaborate with content, marketing, and development teams throughout the design process
  • Participate in usability testing and incorporate findings into design iterations
  • Adhere to established brand, content, and design standards while contributing ideas for improvement
  • Support accessibility best practices to ensure experiences are usable by all audiences
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to effectively operate a Windows-based computer and navigate Microsoft Office Suite
  • 1–2 years of experience in UX, web, or related design experience (including internships, contract, or freelance work)
  • A portfolio demonstrating a thoughtful design process and strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma or comparable platforms
  • Foundational understanding of usability principles, information architecture, and interaction design fundamentals
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and receive feedback
  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Must sign the Statement of Faith
  • A high school diploma or equivalent education is required
  • Experience designing content-rich or media-focused websites
  • Familiarity with accessibility guidelines such as WCAG
  • Basic awareness of HTML, CSS, and responsive design concepts
  • Experience working within an established brand or design system

Preferred

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, or related field preferred
  • A Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred
