Tradeify is a futures trading company that combines finance and technology to provide traders with modern tools and experiences. The Design Engineer will design and build websites, product interfaces, brand collateral, and growth initiatives using AI-native tools and traditional design practices, taking work from concept through shipped front-end code. The role also involves collaborating with designers and engineers, communicating decisions, and managing multiple assignments in a fast-moving remote environment.
Design and build landing page sections, page variants, and marketing website experiences directly in code
Create and ship polished product UI for smaller features, enhancements, and design tickets — going from concept to working front end without a traditional design-to-dev handoff
Produce brand collateral such as presentations, social graphics, campaign visuals, and other creative assets using AI generation and editing tools
Work within established brand and design systems while maintaining consistency across touchpoints
Apply strong typography, hierarchy, layout, color, and visual/content design principles — regardless of the tool used to produce the output
Structure web experiences around what visitors already know, what they need, and the actions they're trying to take
Use AI tools (LLMs, image/video/3D generation, AI coding assistants) as your primary design and development environment — not just a supplement to Figma
Rapidly explore multiple creative directions by generating and iterating with AI rather than manual compositions
Use AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, v0, or similar) to turn concepts directly into working, responsive front-end code
Pressure-test ideas quickly, prototype in the browser, and iterate based on real interaction rather than static mockups
Apply strong judgment about where AI accelerates the work and where hands-on craft and review are still required
Stay current with new AI design/dev tools and bring the useful ones into the team's workflow
Contribute to new products, features, and business initiatives
Support marketing website and product improvements end-to-end, from idea to shipped code
Help design and implement conversion and UX optimizations
Partner with senior designers and engineers on larger, more complex projects
Use feedback, available data, and business context to refine your work
Clarify small or underspecified briefs by asking thoughtful questions and defining scope
Explain the reasoning behind your design and technical decisions, including directions considered and rejected
Communicate progress clearly in an asynchronous, remote environment
Document decisions and keep work organized (code repos, prompt libraries, brand assets) so others can easily follow and continue it
Manage multiple assignments and deliver high-quality, shipped work in a fast-moving environment
Incorporate feedback quickly and keep projects moving once direction is set
Qualification
Required
A strong portfolio demonstrating shipped work — real websites, product surfaces, or prototypes you designed and built, not just static comps
Genuine fluency with AI-native creation: comfortable generating, editing, and refining visuals with AI tools, and comfortable using AI coding assistants to write real front-end code (HTML/CSS/JS, React, or similar)
Working proficiency in front-end development — enough to take a design idea from concept to a live, responsive build without a hand-off
Strong visual and UI fundamentals: typography, hierarchy, layout, color, and an understanding of web UX and how to structure a page around audience needs and desired actions
The ability to create polished brand and communication materials (decks, social graphics, marketing visuals) using AI tools
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work within an established brand system
Initiative to think through a problem before executing, and the ability to clearly explain your reasoning
Clear written and verbal communication skills, particularly in an asynchronous environment
A genuine interest in design and technology, and evidence you consistently experiment, build, and improve your craft
1–3 years of relevant experience; the strength of your portfolio, your shipped work, and your AI-native fluency matter more than years on a formal design or engineering team
Preferred
Experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue, Webflow, etc.)
A track record of building and shipping personal or client projects largely through AI-assisted workflows
Experience creating motion graphics, micro-interactions, video, or 3D visuals with AI tools
Familiarity with conversion-focused web design
An interest in futures trading, financial markets, or fintech
Benefits
