Kohler Hospitality is seeking a User Experience Co-op to support the development of innovative products and improve customer experiences. The role involves user research, secondary research, interaction design, UX/UI prototyping, and collaboration with human factors researchers, industrial designers, engineering, and marketing teams.
Work with senior Human Factor researchers and Industrial Designers to support the development of new products as well as ongoing enhancements to existing products
Understand consumer needs and behaviors by assisting with user research for existing products, mock-ups, and prototypes, and participating in design critiques
Conduct and analyze secondary research, including trend reports, product reviews, and competitive benchmarking, while serving as an advocate for customers throughout product development
Create innovative user interaction designs for products and services that stand out in the marketplace and support meaningful customer experiences
Contribute to interaction design, build UX/UI prototypes, and write behavior specifications for both product UI and app UI experiences
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a graduate-level program in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology, or a related discipline
Proficient with digital design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud, with a strong understanding of Android and iOS platforms
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly share research insights, design recommendations, and user experience concepts
Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred
Relevant work experience in design research, user experience, interaction design, or a related field is preferred
