Responsibilities

Lead UX design efforts with 3–6 years of experience and a strong portfolio showcasing your design thinking and problem-solving skills
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior UX designers
Collaborate effectively with business users and engineering teams, communicating design decisions clearly and persuasively
Apply critical and creative thinking to develop innovative and user-centered design solutions
Drive design strategy and execution within our design system using tools like Figma
Work in a hybrid environment, onsite 3 days a week in Rockville, MD or Tysons, VA, and remotely 2 days a week
Assist in designing intuitive, scalable solutions using Figma or equivalent within our design system
Support user research and translate insights into actionable design improvements
Leverage AI-powered design tools to accelerate prototyping and influence product strategy
Balance innovation with consistency across multiple products
Communicate design decisions clearly and effectively
Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and champion usability

Qualification

Required

3–6 years of UX design experience with a strong, thoughtfully curated portfolio
Ability to mentor junior designers and contribute to team growth
Exceptional communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and technical teams
Self-motivated with strong critical thinking and idea generation capabilities

Provide detailed case studies explaining your thought process, specific challenges, approaches, design rationale, and outcomes
Bachelor's degree in UX Design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Knowledge of UX best practices and accessibility standards (WCAG/508)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Curiosity, eagerness to grow, and ability to work within established parameters
