Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a UI/UX Designer to enhance user engagement through effective design. The role involves collaborating with product managers and teams to create intuitive digital experiences, conducting user research, and advocating for user-centered design improvements.
Work with a team of SMEs, developers, and designers to craft the ultimate User Experience (UX)
Work closely with the product manager to understand clients’ vision and their users’ needs
Build skills in designing large-scale digital experiences that are intuitive and aesthetically pleasing
Be involved with the full spectrum of the digital creative process, including user research, information architecture, wireframing, rapid prototyping, interface design, and front-end development
Advocate for the prioritizations of design-centered changes, refinements, and improvements, keeping the end-user at the center of your work
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience working on graphic design projects and creative direction assignments
Experience with developing accessible web applications using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript, including with advanced styling and dynamic UI behavior
Experience with RESTful web services and collaborating within an Agile and Scrum team
Experience with delivering maintainable code through modern version control tools, such as Git or Bitbucket
Experience with greenfield visual interface and navigation design for intuitive user experiences through RWD principles and client-side input validation
Experience developing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using tools, such as Figma
Ability to provide a graphic design portfolio
Ability to deliver innovative solutions and superior visual communication products, including infographics, publications, instructional materials, brochures, posters, banners, fact sheets, executive-level presentations, digital marquees, and digital and web advertisements
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree
Preferred
Experience with data visualization, finished intelligence, infographic production, post-processing data, and flow charts
Experience working in IC or DoD environments
Experience with Generative AI
Experience ensuring design consistency across platforms while adhering to brand management guidelines and mobile design guidelines, including Material Design for Android and Human Interface Guidelines for iOS
Knowledge of human-centered design methodology or design thinking principles
Knowledge of WordPress, Joomla!, Content Management Systems, HTML, or CSS
Ability to be a self-starter, pay strict attention to detail, and multitask across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Possession of excellent verbal and written skills, including communicating presentations to internal and external professionals at all levels
