They are seeking a talented UX/UI Designer to design user-centric interfaces, conduct user research, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create responsive user experiences that meet federal standards.
Design and conduct user research aligned with the design thinking process, ensuring compliance with federal standards
Translate research findings, user needs, and business requirements into clear, actionable design tasks
Ideate and develop features from concept to high-fidelity interactive prototypes
Collaborate with stakeholders, including UX designers, researchers, engineers, product owners, and business analysts, to communicate user experience insights and design solutions
Organize and maintain design files for seamless handoff to development teams using tools like Zeplin
Support the development and evolution of design systems and style guides through team collaboration
Maintain consistency in user interface and design patterns based on current style guides and live standards
Ensure all designs and implementations adhere to web standards, accessibility, and usability best practices
Participate in reviews and testing to validate design effectiveness and user satisfaction
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant UX/UI design experience
Portfolio demonstrating research and UX/UI design skills
Proficiency in design software such as Sketch, InVision, Adobe Design Suite, or similar tools
Knowledge of human-computer interaction and usability design principles
Experience with user research techniques and data collection methods
Understanding of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility
Familiarity with design systems and ability to follow established style guides
Basic knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 for effective design handoff
Knowledge of Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust clearance; active clearance preferred
