CGI is a global IT and business consulting services firm, and they are seeking an Entry-Level UX/UI Designer to enhance products and services through user-centered design. In this role, you will conduct user research, create design prototypes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive and visually appealing solutions.

Responsibilities

Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions (e.g., map user journeys, run surveys/interviews).
Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, user flows, storyboards, and sitemaps to visualize concepts.
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers to iterate on ideas and refine delivery.
Help maintain design workflows, UI guidelines, or style consistency across digital touchpoints.
Contribute to accessibility and usability improvements, ensuring products meet high standards of user-centered design.
Present and communicate your work to internal stakeholders—i.e., your journey, rationale, and impact.
Learn from design leaders and gradually take on increasingly independent design tasks.

Qualification

Required

Bachelor’s degree in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
Demonstrated passion for user-centered design, strengths in empathy, curiosity, and visual storytelling.
Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong collaboration, communication (written & verbal), adaptability, and creative problem-solving skills.
Portfolio with academic, personal, or internship projects showcasing wireframes, prototypes, and/or UI solutions.
Authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely and without restriction.

Preferred

Academic or internship experience in user research, usability testing, or UX strategy.
Comfort designing for accessibility and inclusive usability.
Basic understanding of HTML/CSS, front-end development, or design-to-code collaboration.
Awareness of information architecture and interaction design principles.
Understanding of design thinking and iterative design methodologies.
Familiarity with collaboration or prototyping tools like InVision, Whimsical, or similar.
