The User Experience Team of the BYU Office of Information Technology is seeking to hire a part-time UI/UX Researcher and Designer.

Qualification
Required
Associate degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Preferred
Two or more years of direct experience in UI/UX design and development
Working knowledge of UI/UX design principles and techniques
Experience with user testing and usability analysis
Familiarity with web-based information hierarchy and design
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to prioritize and manage several projects efficiently
Problem-solving skills
Experience creating storyboards, website mapping, journey mapping, etc.
Understanding of graphic design and web technologies
Familiarity with visual design programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lucidchart
Experience with wireframing/prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
Familiarity with HTML and CSS
Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies
A portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating user-centered design solutions
