Walsworth is a family-owned printing company seeking a User Experience Designer to join their Technology team. The role involves defining user experiences for interactive web applications and software, engaging in processes such as wireframing and usability testing.
This position entails working with e-commerce, web applications and mobile apps
Create elegant user-centered designs by considering market analysis, user research and usability findings
Design the experience and interaction flow of new, cloud-based applications and desktop software
Quickly yet thoroughly create process flows, wireframes, and visual designs to conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors
Develop and maintain user interface specifications
Present design work to cross-functional teams and respond constructively to feedback
Assist with the execution of design research and usability testing
Work with the Technology team through planning, definition, design, development and testing phases to deliver intuitive, feature-rich software solutions
Qualification
Required
Must include a link to a work portfolio demonstrating user-centered design process and shipped digital products
1-2 years of experience in a related role
Proficiency with Figma
Knowledge of accessibility guidelines (WCAG)
Experience working in Agile product development environments
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience using the Atlassian suite of products and working with a Tailwind based design system strongly preferred
Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen, background check and social media screening as part of our standard process
Must be willing to commute into the Walsworth - Overland Park office on a regular basis. This is a hybrid position

Preferred
Bachelor's degree in UX, Interaction Design or related design discipline
Portfolio of effective interface design work or outstanding portfolio in a related design discipline
A strong understanding of visual design and how it can shape and influence user interfaces
Strong collaborative and organizational skills
Ability to articulate the why as well as the what
