Responsibilities

  • Designs, updates, and maintains landing pages, academic program pages, and other web content within the Modern Campus CMS. Applies user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) best practices to support intuitive navigation, usability, engagement, and a consistent digital experience across University websites
  • Develops, edits, and optimizes web content to ensure clarity, accuracy, consistency, and alignment with University brand and communication standards. Creates and refines digital microcopy, including buttons, labels, forms, calls to action, and other user-facing content, to support a clear and seamless user journey
  • Implements search engine optimization (SEO), answer engine optimization (AEO), and generative engine optimization (GEO) best practices to improve the visibility and discoverability of University web content across traditional search engines and emerging AI-driven search platforms. Applies appropriate page structure, metadata, content organization, and other optimization techniques
  • Monitors and evaluates website performance, user engagement, search visibility, and other relevant web metrics. Uses available analytics and performance data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and optimize web content and user experiences
  • Sources, prepares, organizes, and optimizes images, videos, and other digital assets for web use. Ensures digital assets maintain appropriate visual quality while supporting website performance, accessibility, and page-load efficiency
  • Ensures web content and digital assets comply with established University brand standards, including typography, color palettes, imagery, visual styles, and other digital identity guidelines. Provides guidance to campus partners regarding the appropriate application of web and brand standards and identifies content that may require correction or improvement
  • Reviews and audits web pages and digital content for compliance with applicable accessibility standards and University requirements, including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Identifies and addresses accessibility concerns related to color contrast, alternative text, logical heading structures, keyboard navigation, screen-reader compatibility, and other accessibility considerations
  • Collaborates with University departments, academic units, marketing and communications staff, and other campus partners to support web content needs and digital initiatives. Provides guidance and assistance related to CMS functionality, web content standards, accessibility, branding, and web best practices
  • Performs other related duties as assigned in support of the University’s web presence, digital communications, and strategic priorities

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in web design, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (equivalent professional experience/portfolios will also be considered)
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of HTML, CSS and Google Analytics
