They are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer I to support and manage cybersecurity platforms, ensuring correct installation and maintenance while troubleshooting issues and consulting on enhancements. The role involves participation in projects, monitoring incidents, and automating tasks to improve security processes.
Participate in well-scoped projects which may include analysis, assessment, and resolution of cybersecurity platforms and/or products.
Support security controls across multiple tools and processes and manage the configuration and distribution across multiple systems and platforms.
Independently monitor, alert, and/or troubleshoot incidents or problems that arise involving platform extensions which may include researching the problem, putting policy management in place, document, and remediation.
Participate in and consult with business customers on software, education, performance testing, etc.
Participate in enhancement requests from business leaders.
Work on coding, scripting, and automating basic to intermediate tasks.
Update policy and/or intermediate to complex maintenance upgrades.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification
Required
Degree or certificate in Cybersecurity.
3 years of experience in Information Technology Security Engineering or Software engineering.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, similar degree or its equivalent in work experience.
2 years of experience in Information Technology Security Engineering or Software engineering.
Programming experience is a plus.
Hands on experience with Cloud computing and automation concepts.
Experience with system, network, and OS hardening techniques.
Knowledge of cybersecurity privacy principles, cyber threats and vulnerabilities, and cyber defense and information security policies, procedures, and regulations.
Ability to apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to organization requirements such as confidentiality, integrity, authentication, and non-repudiation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle shifting priorities.
