L3Harris Technologies provides platform management system solutions for armed forces, and they are seeking a Senior Associate in Industrial Security. The role involves managing personnel security, COMSEC, and physical security, along with supporting corporate policies and ensuring the protection of intellectual property.
Operates COMSEC keying device and radios in support of security operations and program requirements.
Maintain an understanding of all DoD personnel and physical security policies, procedures, and work instructions in collaboration with team members.
Attain and maintain an expert level of proficiency with COMSEC tracking database DIAS
Attain and maintain an expert level of proficiency with the visitor control and personnel security record applications within SIMS security database software and general use and application of all others.
Administer, address and complete all COMSEC Account administrative requirements. Including inventories, training, briefings and annual SOP/EAP reviews.
Understand the workings of access control system, which includes creating badges and adding access to profiles. Performs access control database validation and ensure continuous integrity of facility & secure area access controls; create reports as required.
Assist in directing and training site personnel on Security Education.
Monitors, reviews, and follows up on facility reports as required, or when requested by the Security Manager.
Provides input to the Security Manager to ensure adequate resources are available to support required maintenance and operations functions (software upgrades, equipment upgrades, service agreements, et al).
Responsible for accuracy and adequacy of data input while utilizing specialized security applications, forms, reports, etc.
Responsible for effective communications regarding security by interfacing with or liaising with external customers (Government, Associate Contractors, Subcontractors, former employees) and internal L3Harris organizations
Provide guidance/interpretation of company and government policies and procedures.
Initiates processes and procedures to fill identified voids. Knows points of contact for guidance when questions arise.
Collaborate with the Security team to ensure electronic SharePoint forms are current and process flows work as intended.
Assists in the development and presentation of security education and training programs; identifies required training subject matter.
Performs security related specialized tasks and miscellaneous administrative duties as directed by supervision.
Provides direction and training for security group personnel who are less proficient and less knowledgeable in the COMSEC disciplines.
Facilitates and champions teamwork and collaborative efforts among Security group members to ensure timely completion of group project tasks and responsibilities.
Responsible for discretion in handling and the protection of a variety of personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974.
Qualification
Required
An active Secret security clearance is required with the ability to obtain a TS / SCI
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience in relevant field
Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related
2 years’ experience as a Cleared Defense Contractor (CDC) working in corporate and/or government environments with industrial security duties in support of Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) programs
Experience with being COMSEC Account Manager and keying experience
Computer auditing experience
Security+ Certification
NSA COMSEC Certification
Preferred
Efficient, proactive, responsive team player with excellent written and oral communication skills; able to interface effectively with all levels of corporate management and government customers
Must be proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Experience using security management software and applications
Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and time sensitive deliverables
Hands on, self-starting, disciplined and detail-oriented individual with ability to work independently in a high-volume environment.
Working knowledge of the 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM Rule, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD’s), and supplement Information system security experience desired
