The company is seeking full-time, onsite 2027 Co-ops in Data Science and Computational Biology to apply machine learning, data analysis, and computational methods to early-stage drug discovery research. Co-ops will build models, develop analytical tools, work with complex datasets, collaborate with researchers, and present findings.
Build models to predict how a genetic variant affects a protein
Develop computational tools for high-throughput image analysis
Harmonize metadata across large public and internal ribonucleic acid (RNA)-sequencing datasets
Apply machine learning and data analysis techniques to research questions
Work with large, complex datasets to identify meaningful patterns
Collaborate with researchers to translate data findings into actionable insights
Write and test code to support ongoing analyses
Present results to the broader research team
Qualification
Required
Must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an academic program pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate degree (and be returning to school the semester following the position or graduating after the position)
Must be able to commit to 40 hours per week from January-August, May/June-December, or August-December
Preferred
Demonstrated leadership in areas such as campus activities, clubs, sports, current or previous work, or within the community
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
