Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada is hiring a Data Analyst Co-op for its Sun Life Private Wealth team. The role maintains data assets, reports, dashboards, and documentation, and supports testing and validation of data and analytics initiatives.
Maintain existing data assets and ensure timely delivery to business partners
Support the creation of data visualizations, dashboards, and reports
Maintain business requirements documentation, source to target mappings and other data & analytics related documentation
Maintain automated reporting on key performance metrics (KPIs) and scorecard metrics using Tableau
Support testing and validation of data assets
Qualification
Required
This opportunity is available to students with an April 2027 or later graduation date
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering or a related field
Experience writing SQL queries to analyze data
Experience with VBA and building excel macros
Comfortable learning new applications and processes quickly with minimal direction
Data analysis / visualization using MS Excel
Strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities. Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Able to consistently meet deadlines
Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently
Preferred
Knowledge of Insurance or Financial Services industry
Data visualization / dashboarding with Tableau
Experience with programming languages such as Python, R
Experience working in an Agile environment
