As a Legal Specialist, you will support corporate compliance and governance matters for Google subsidiaries in the US, focusing on legal matters and coordinating information requests within the company.
Manage corporate expansions, liquidations, integrations, and coordination of corporate compliance, governance, and maintenance for subsidiaries in the US region.
Monitor, complete, and file annual reports and other required corporate filings.
Ensure corporate housekeeping, including tracking of documents, routing documents for signature and distribution, filing, data organization, and managing logistical matters such as certification of documents, notarization and similar.
Process legal matters of low to moderate risk for both internal and external parties, with some guidance.
Interact with multiple groups within the Legal Department, with internal stakeholders across Google, and with external parties and articulate legal and operational needs with parties who may have competing priorities.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of paralegal or similar experience in a law firm or in house legal department managing corporate maintenance matters.
Preferred
California Notary Commission or are willing to take the California Notary exam.
Experience in Internet or high technology areas of business.
Ability to take initiative to address problems and make continuous process improvements.
Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure, and work on a broad variety of legal matters.
Excellent analytical and organization skills with attention to detail, and with the ability to draft and review legal documents, analyze legal advice, and apply legal advice to business needs.
